We can provide scheduled maintenance over a 12 month
or longer period. If this isn't suitable we may be able to provide
one-off visits or a shorter maintenance schedule by agreement.
Activities
We will agree the work required when agreeing the contract. We
tailor the work to the requirements of the site and the client,
An indication of the types of activities that can form part of the
maintenance service:
Maintenance of planted areas
Plants will be pruned at appropriate time to remove diseased,
dead, dying or inappropriate branches and suckers.
Any seasonal pruning will be undertaken at the appropriate
time.
Ties, canes and supports will be adjusted as necessary.
The condition of stakes, ties and guards will be checked.
If the agreed contract allows we will replace any weak or
damaged items, otherwise we will report any problems.
After new planting, storms, frost or ground disturbance
the condition of the soil will be checked and firmed around
the root base of plants where necessary.
Watering
Watering of beds during maintenance visits in the summer
months
Grass management
Mowing
Fertiliser and weed-killer treatment.
Mulching
On visits at the start and end of the growing season we
will replenish mulch as required.
Leaf Collection
On visits at the end of the growing season we will collect
fallen leaves if required.
Weeding
Removal of weeds by hand or weed suppression by herbicides.
Litter Picking
Litter picking if requested will be performed on each
visit.
Hard Surfaces
Regular cleaning and treatment of hard surfaces sucha
s forecourts, paths and decking.
Pest & Disease Monitoring
On visits we will check for evidence of pests and diseases
and report this to the client.
Waste Removal
Pruning waste, cut-grass, weeds removed and other waste
will taken from the site at the completion of each visit.
Vandalism and Theft
On visits we will check for evidence of vandalism to plants
or theft and report this to the client.
Key-holding
If required we will look after keys on behalf of the client.
Reporting
After each visit a visit report is made which will be
provided to the client. We also keep a copy of visit reports
until the contract completes.
Site Management
When on site we will minimise any disturbance to the site's
occupiers, particularly with regard to any equipment used.
Any work performed will avoid, when possible, damage to
mulched areas. Mulch will be moved aside if necessary and
then replaced at the end of any work that might damage the
mulch-base.
Visits
The number of visits in the contract is subject to agreement and
the size of the site.
For most sites we would recommend 14 visits over the course of
one year. These would be one a month with two visits in the months
of April and May.
